LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Laser Hair Removal is one of the most popular treatments for both men & women. by using pulses of laser light we can damage the hair follicle for permanent hair reduction. Unlike other methods, such as waxing and shaving, our laser hair removal device can offer a pain-free solution with long-lasting results for ALL skin types.

We use the Lynton Laser Evolve which features IceTip™ technology, reaching temperatures of -8°C for extra comfortable treatments. This is one of the top brands of machine on the market with exceptional results!

All clients require a FREE laser consultation & patch test prior to treatment.

FAQs

  • How does it work?

Light is selectively absorbed by melanin. This is the pigment in the hair follicle. The light energy heats the pigment & effectively destroys the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding cells.

  • Does it hurt?

No. The treatment is described as “pain free” as the laser tip cools to -8 degrees making the treatment very comfortable.

The sensation of treatment varies but is often described as a quick snap, like an elastic band however, some report nothing but a warming sensation.

  • How many treatments are required?

Only hair that is actively growing is affected, therefore multiple treatments are needed.

Treatment is conducted every 4 – 8 weeks, depending on the area treated.

Typically typically 6 or more treatments are needed for optimum results however, this varies from client to client.

    Face – 12+ treatments
    Bikini & underarm – 6+ treatments
Other body areas – 8+ treatments
Course of treatment required with 1-2 top up treatments per year.
  • Which laser machine do you use?

At Renuvo Beauty & Aesthetics we use the top range new EVOLVE Diode Laser. This is a certified medical device under the Medical Devices Directive, designed specifically to deliver quick, safe, “pain-free” laser hair removal treatments, on ALL skin types (Fitzpatrick I-VI).

  • How many treatments are required?

The skin may appear red immediately after treatment & the hair follicles may be swollen & bumpy. This usually subsides within a few hours.

Adverse reactions are rare but may include a small blister or temporary lightening or darkening of the skin.

  • Does it permanently remove the hair?

Some clients may get complete removal however, some may just see a reduction in thickness & lightening in colour. Most clients will experience this reduction or removal for many months or even years.

We cannot guarantee complete removal in all clients & results vary from client to client.

As some treatment areas are hormonal, this may cause the hair to also grow back.
